On plots 1700/1; 1700/1 – P.L. 103 k.o. Gornji Hasić – Municipality of Šamac. The land is located near the asphalt regional road Šamac-Gradačac and is 4 km from the main road M-17, 9 km from the border crossing with the Republic of Croatia / EU, 9 km from the Port of Šamac, and 7 km from the railway Šamac-Sarajevo, and 19 km from the highway E70 Belgrade-Zagreb. The distance from the future corridor 5C is 26 km, while the distance from the planned route of the Belgrade-Banja Luka highway is only 4 km.

Land area of 170,135 m2, 1/1 owned by the Municipality of Šamac. In a very attractive geographical location, with excellent transport links to land (road, rail) connections and the river port on the Sava River.

Preliminary design / feasibility study has been done, and changes to the Spatial Plan are being prepared.

5.3. REASONS TO INVEST IN THE PROJECT

The area is attractive due to the proximity of planned future roads of interest to the Republic of Srpska / BiH, the surrounding countries, primarily the Republic of Serbia and beyond. It is a lowland area, close to the border crossing with the European Union, close to the Šamac – Sarajevo railway and the river port on the Sava. As for the infrastructure: the optical cable for the telephone and internet network has been brought; the connection for the electricity network, as well as the water supply network is being prepared. It is planned to parcelise, lease or sell plots within the planned zone for performing various economic activities. According to the records of the Employment Bureau, as of December 31, 2021, 1,291 people are actively looking for work in the municipality of Šamac. As for the raw material base, the municipality of Šamac is an agricultural region with huge agricultural areas where cereals, vegetables and fruits are grown, there are facilities and experienced workforce in the field of metal, wood processing industry.

7. IS A PHYSICAL LOCATION DETERMINED FOR THE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION?

On plots 1700/1; 1700/1 – P.L. 103 k.o. Gornji Hasić – Municipality of Šamac. Land owned by the Municipality of Šamac, activities related to the accompanying infrastructure have started. The project is planned in the proposal of the ‘Development Strategy of the Municipality of Šamac for the period 2022-2027’.
