On 12.05.2026. in Sarajevo, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska participated in a joint meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and the Federal Ministry of Trade, with the aim of defining proposed measures to improve business conditions in free zones.
The meeting presented proposals regarding the simplification of procedures and certain incentives that exist in the countries of the region, especially Serbia, which is an example of successful free zone operations.
In the coming period, meetings will be organized with local communities in the Republic of Srpska in which activities on the establishment of free zones have been initiated, with representatives of active free zones in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with the most successful zones from the region.
Representatives of these three ministries agreed to propose concrete solutions as soon as possible and present them to the competent institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
