Assistant Minister for Economic Cooperation in the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska Slobodanka Dubravac has participated today in the panel ‘Results of the BFC SEE program of local governments with favorable business environment in the region’, within the Conference ‘Favorable business environment and investment increase’ on Jahorina.
The conference ‘Favorable Business Environment and Increase of Investments’ was organised by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska as well as a part of the Network for Business Environment consisting of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, the Ministry of Local Government and Self-Government of Republic of Srpska.
The aim of the Conference is to promote the results and examples of good practice of the BFC SEE program, and to exchange experiences in the field of digitalisation of local governments, increase competitiveness and investment.
Slobodanka Dubravac, Assistant Minister in the Department of Economic Cooperation, at the panel discussion ‘Results of the BFC SEE program of local governments with a favorable business environment in the region’, pointed out the reasons why the Ministry was the initiator of this project, i.e. standardisation of municipal service to the economy and support, and strengthening cooperation between the local and national levels, highlighting examples of good practice and investment that have arisen as a result of this approach.
Assistant Minister Slobodanka Dubravac also emphasized important projects of the Ministry that help investing and reinvesting, especially emphasizing the program of support to the economy through the purchase of new equipment and introduction of new technologies, and incentives to increase workers’ salaries. She also presented reform projects that improve the business environment through the reduction of administrative procedures, digitalisation of administration, and concrete cooperation with municipalities and cities.
The conference was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković, representatives of local communities and republic institutions.
