The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, Vjekoslav Petričević, attended the meeting in Trebinje, discussing the business of free zones in the Republic of Srpska and BiH.

Minister Petričević says that the relevant ministry is available for everything that is necessary in order to get investments in the free zone of Trebinje as soon as possible. He emphasizes that through joint work, the removal of certain barriers that stand in the way will be intensified in order to reach the first investments within the free zones of the Republic of Srpska as soon as possible. Petričević adds that a joint working group had been formed with the line ministries from Srpska, FBiH and at the level of the Council of Ministers.

The Mayor of Trebinje, Mirko Ćurić, states that he expects to receive consent from the state level, after which all procedures from the study will be announced, and points out that BAM 1,800,000 are currently available, which were set aside by our local community and the Government of Republic of Srpska, in order to provide for the road and all other necessary infrastructure.

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers of BiH, Staša Košarac, emphasizes that Trebinje will be the first free zone in the Republic of Srpska and BiH, and that he expects the Council of Ministers to make a decision to give Trebinje free zone status as soon as possible.
