The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, Vjekoslav Petričević, held a meeting in Banja Luka with the manager of the plant of the factory Mahle Electric Drives Bosnia in Laktaši, Mr. Pavel Lah.
Lah informed Petričević about the business of a company that owns a factory for the production of parts for the automotive industry in the Laktaši area. He presented the company’s ambitious plans to expand its capacities in the coming period and employ an additional number of workers in the new modern plant within the business zone Aleksandrovac 2.
Minister Petričević pointed out the Ministry’s readiness to support productive economic entities in the field of electrical and mechanical industry, and informed Lah about the current Public Call for Procurement of Modern Technologies and Equipment, Development and Innovation, allocating BAM 12 million this year.
As a stimulative measure, Petričević emphasizes the support regarding the payment of incentives to economic entities that had increased salaries to their workers, and added that changes were being made to the Law on Incentives in the Economy of Republic of Srpska, which would support the creation of more well-paid jobs.
The Assistant Minister for Economic Cooperation in the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, Slobodanka Dubravac also attended the meeting, and the conversationalists touched on the current situation and challenges in business during the coronavirus pandemic and global events.
