The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, Vojin Mitrović, held a meeting with the Director of the Mahle factory in Laktaši, Mr. Pavel Lah.
Lah introduced Mitrović to the operations of the company that owns a factory for the production of parts for the auto industry in the area of Laktaši, as well as the activities in the construction of a new production and business facility at the location of the Aleksandrovac 2 business zone. According to him, the plan for the implementation of an investment worth EUR 20 million is November 2023, and after the completion of the new office building, the factory will employ around 900 workers.
Mitrović emphasized the readiness of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship to support manufacturing business entities in the field of electro-mechanical industry, and added that investments in modern technologies achieve competitiveness on the foreign market, while expansion of existing capacities creates conditions for generating new jobs in the real sector.
Minister Mitrović noted the favourable climate for attracting new investments in the Republic of Srpska, as confirmed by the business plans of several foreign companies in the processing industry sector. Also, the meeting emphasized the importance of support from local administrations dedicated to the economic development of municipalities and cities in the Republic of Srpska.
