During his visit to Bijeljina, the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska Vjekoslav Petričević visited the companies PASS and Mega drvo.

The German company PASS, which produces parts for the automotive industry, employs 1,005 workers, with a tendency to expand production and create new jobs. Their plans for development are big, including the creation of 500 more jobs for whose realisation the company needs a better infrastructure, which was discussed with the line minister.

The Mega drvo company is a successful export company with 336 employees in the wood processing industry. The Mega drvo company emphasized that their production, export and the number of employees were constantly increasing, and their development was having the support of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska. Mega Drvo has a closed complete production cycle from logs to the finished product, and conversation with the Minister pointed out the problem of raw material supply.

Minister Petričević said that the goal of the Government and the relevant ministry was to review and solve problems in order to facilitate business operations in Srpska, and announced the Government’s further support for domestic and foreign investors. The next year’s goal is to provide support to businessmen for the acquisition of new technologies from the budget of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship, as well as help to small and medium-sized enterprises.
