The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska Vjekoslav Petričević visited the Sava Semberija Food Industry and praised the work of the fruit and vegetable processing factory, which exported 85 to 90 percent of its annual production to world markets, and pointed out the importance of the processing industry, which was participating in exports with 85 percent.

“I am sure that our ministries will come up with solutions to additionally support companies like this, which are the brand of Republic of Srpska and all those who do business in this way, employing domestic subcontractors who produce raw materials and provide new jobs,” Petričević pointed out.

Director of the Sava Semberija Food Industry, Stevo Filipović assessed that product quality and healthy food were advantages of the Republic of Srpska economy in competing with multinational companies in the EU, or with EU membership candidate countries that had huge incentives from their home countries and the European Commission.

“I hope that further engagement of the Government of the Republic of Srpska will result in systemic measures that will create an environment where we can plan the volume of production in the long term, and we have already secured a market all over the world for our healthy product and 90 percent of the annual production ends up in the most demanding markets,” Filipović pointed out.
