The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, Vjekoslav Petričević, after talks with the management of the company Orao in Bijeljina, stated that obtaining licenses for servicing aircraft and helicopter engines for this company was in the final phase.
Petričević visited the Company for the production and overhaul of turbo-jet engines Orao, which he said was the carrier of the development of the military industry of the Republic of Srpska.
With the management, led by the acting general manager of AD Orao, Nenad Lalić, he talked about the projects that had started before the corona virus pandemic, as well as future projects that could be implemented.
– We are in communication with the representatives of the Russian company Rostech, with whom we are in the final phase of obtaining licences for servicing aircraft and helicopter engines. We have received assurances from their representatives that the process should be completed by the end of September and we sincerely hope that the commercial offer will be favourable, as we were assured by the representatives of the Russian Federation – said Petričević after the meeting.
The topic of the meeting was also the initiated projects with the Serbian Army, which can significantly ensure the long-term future of Orao.
Acting manager of the company Nenad Lalić said that Orao had exceptional cooperation with the Government of Republic of Srpska, i.e. the relevant ministry, as well as that they expected help from them in entering the Russian and Serbian markets, both administratively and of any other nature.
Currently, Orao is exporting uninterruptedly to the markets of India, Italy, Great Britain, Malaysia, Burma, the United Arab Emirates and others and a visit to Nigeria is also planned to conclude a business arrangement.
