On June 12, 2025, the first session of the Council for Foreign Investors of the Republic of Srpska was held at the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship, at which developments in the field of foreign investments in the Republic of Srpska and international investment trends were analysed. Key factors for attracting foreign investments in the Republic of Srpska were also analysed, focusing on business infrastructure and the capacity of local self-government units to attract investments.
The goal of the Council for Foreign Investors is to assist and encourage foreign investments in the Republic of Srpska, improve the business environment for foreign investors, as well as improve coordination and cooperation between institutions at the republic and local levels in the field of foreign investments. In April 2025, the Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted a new decision on appointing members of the Council for Foreign Investors of the Republic of Srpska, which consists of representatives of line ministries, local self-government units, the Chamber of Commerce and foreign investors.
