The Government of the Republika Srpska has adopted at its 10th session held on November 6, 2025, adopted the Decree on the procedure of granting incentives for Investments of Special Importance.
This regulation regulates the conditions, criteria and procedure for exercising the right to an incentive for investments of special importance, as well as other issues of importance for this procedure.
The goal of granting incentives for investments of special importance is to strengthen the competitiveness of the economy of the Republika Srpska by encouraging new employment, balanced regional development, the transfer of new technologies, as well as achieving other positive economic and social effects on the economic development of the Republika Srpska.
The reason for adopting this regulation is the adoption of the Law on Incentives in the Economy of the Republika Srpska, which stipulates that incentives are granted for the implementation of projects of special importance for the Republika Srpska. The adoption of this regulation is undertaken for reasons of practical application, but also for the need to further emphasize the commitment of the Republika Srpska to support investments of particular importance that affect the competitiveness of a branch or sector of the economy or balanced regional development through increased employment and more significant investment. The aim is to create additional conditions through incentive measures to attract investors who employ a larger number of workers, whose average salary is equal to or higher than the average salary in the Republika Srpska.
