At its 88th session, held on October 3, 2024, the Government of the Republic of Srpska approved the Free Zone of Gradiška, planned for the construction of infrastructure and facilities as well as investments in equipment in the first three years, in the amount of BAM 47 719 000, out of which BAM 19 398 000 in the first year.

In addition to infrastructure projects, 253 workers are expected to be employed in the first two years. Among them, hiring workers with higher professional qualifications is planned, mainly persons who are registered with the Republic of Srpska Employment Bureau. The acquisition of new and modern equipment is also planned, which will enable the transfer of modern technologies into production programmes in the area of ​​the of Gradiška City in the amount of BAM 31 280 000.

The establishment of the Free Zone of Gradiška will significantly improve the economic development of Gradiška and the Republic of Srpska. The Free Zone of Gradiška will bring benefits both at the local and national level, as its establishment and further work will contribute to attracting foreign and domestic investments, creating new jobs, increasing exports, and improving the competitiveness of the domestic economy.
