The Government of the Republic of Srpska, at its 144th session held on November 4, 2021 adopted the Strategy for Encouraging Foreign Investments in the Republic of Srpska for the period 2021-2027. Strategy for attracting foreign investments in the Republic of Srpska 2021-2027 represents a set of goals and measures for the implementation of policies of the Government of the Republic of Srpska in attracting foreign investment in the Republic of Srpska.

The strategy defines three strategic goals:

  1. Prevent the loss of existing investors due to changes caused by the COVID 19 pandemic and stop negative trends, i.e. increase the cumulative FDI inflow to the Republic of Srpska in the period 2021-2027.
  2. Increase the share of FDI in the GDP of the Republic of Srpska and the number of newly established companies with foreign capital
  3. Increase the participation of FDI motivated by efficiency enhancement, in line with sustainable development goals

 

The strategy was made on the basis of an analysis of the situation in the Republic of Srpska, BiH, the region and world trends, as well as previous experiences, analysis of international reports and cooperation with key partners, i.e. institutions at the national and local level, and representatives of the business community.
