On March 5, 2021, the Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, Vjekoslav Petričević, visited the Milinković company in Banja Luka.

Petričević said that the data on the increase in exports are encouraging when it comes to companies from the processing industry of Srpska last year, and he emphasized that it is very important for this trend to continue. The goal is to reach the best possible solutions in cooperation with the social partners – the Chamber of Commerce, the Union of Employers’ Associations and businessmen, which will be of help to the economy of Srpska.

He emphasized that the Ministry supported the Milinković company through various projects, primarily through the procurement of new technologies.

Wood accessories Milinković employs 25 to 30 workers, some of whom have been trained through a USAID pilot project that provides non-refundable financial and technical support to export-oriented small and medium enterprises in BiH, from the wood processing sector.

In the case of the business entity Milinković, the project funds were used for the purchase of equipment, software and licenses within the so-called ‘ket-ken’ training. In this way, support was provided in the training of workers and dual education, given that the students went through training within the project. During 2019 and 2020, about 15 candidates passed the training, while this year 6 candidates are being trained.
